Earthjustice, the premier nonprofit environmental law organization, is seeking to fill two positions in their Midwest Regional Office in Chicago.
Supervising Staff Attorney:
This attorney will play a leading role in their own docket of major environmental cases, collaborate on litigation with other Earthjustice attorneys and staff, and develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners (such as, other nonprofit organizations, environmental justice groups, community-based organizations, labor unions, and tribes). This person will also serve as a thought partner with the Managing Attorney and a Litigation Leader in the office. Apply HERE.
Staff Attorney, Oil & Gas, Appalachia:
This attorney will be part of our Fossil Fuels Program’s efforts to protect communities and our environment from an onslaught of new oil and gas development. The Staff Attorney’s work will focus on challenging new and expanding fossil fuel infrastructure development, in Appalachia and possibly the Midwest region, particularly targeting ill-conceived petrochemical facilities and related infrastructure, and pipelines, with an emphasis on the Appalachian Ohio River Valley Region.
