OH WHAT FUN WE HAD!
HLAI and HLAI Charities hosted its annual Holiday Party on December 2nd at Cava Room.
Thank you to all in attendance, we had a great group of cheerful HLAI members and friends joining us in kicking off the Holiday celebrations.
Attendees brought toys to benefit the children served by Mujeres Latinas en Acción and the Legal Aid Society.
We want give special thanks to Sulema Medrano of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP for collecting and donating $1,000.00 for each organization and lots of toys! Linda Tortolero, President & CEO of Mujeres Latinas en Acción, and Miguel Keberlein, Executive Director of the Legal Aid Society, were in attendance to receive the award and toys!
The evening included the visit of two of Santa’s elves: Lucas (Judge Rossana Fernandez’ son) and Sofia (HLAI’s Immediate Past President Andrea Belard’s daughter) to collect and guard all the toys donated that night.
The proceeds of this charitable event will help fund the LSAT and BAR studies scholarships awarded by HLAI Charities in 2023.
