The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is seeking qualified applicants to serve as Special Education Due Process Hearing Officers. Applicants must possess either a Juris Doctor degree or a graduate level degree in Education or a field related to rights of persons with disabilities.  Persons employed by an Illinois School District or Special Education Cooperative may not serve as a hearing officer.  Individuals must also be resident in the State of Illinois.
