Staff Attorney/Community Lawyer

This position is based out of Metropolitan Family Services’ community center in Merrionette Park, Illinois. The Staff Attorney will serve low-income residents of south suburban Cook County and will represent clients at the Markham Courthouse in the Sixth Municipal District of the Circuit Court of Cook County. The Staff Attorney will serve as a community lawyer who provides advice and direct representation in a variety of legal areas, including but not limited to: housing, expungement, civil rights, family law, employment, and crime victims’ rights. The Staff Attorney will also participate in outreach, training, and community education.
