The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is accepting applications to fill the position of Technical Advisor III. The agency is seeking an organized, professional, and results-oriented individual with experience in specialized legal work and regulatory enforcement that involves complex functions of a highly technical nature. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate complex legal matters in writing. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to professionally interact with office staff, members of special interest groups and the legislature, and the general public. The optimal candidate possesses the ability to take full ownership of assigned work while also keeping supervisors sufficiently informed of developments and updates with that work. As a Technical Advisor III and employee of the State of Illinois, the selected candidate will have access to state healthcare, benefits, and a pension plan.
