This membership is for a licensed attorney in good standing that works for a government agency or non-profit organization. Lawyer Members who are licensed in the State of Illinois have the right to nominate and vote; the right to serve as a Board Member, Officer, or a Standing Committee Chair, and are be eligible to serve in any office and on any Committee. Lawyer members licensed in a different jurisdiction have all the rights and privileges of HLAI, including the right to vote, but are not eligible to serve as a Board Member, Officer, or a Standing Committee Chair.
