Assistant Corporation Counsel II – Finance Division

Finance Division attorneys provide legal assistance to City Departments, including with the Department of Finance, Department of Planning and Development and Department of Housing; serving as issuer’s counsel for the issuance of general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, and tax increment bonds; revitalizing blighted areas with projects that create jobs with tax increment financing (TIF); negotiating and closing multi-family housing loans and tax credits; reviewing proposed federal and state grants to the City; negotiating financial agreements with other local governments, and more.

The Assistant Corporation Counsel works on: (i) TIF transactions, (ii) other economic development matters, (iii) intergovernmental agreements, (iv) grants with other governments and entities, and (v) affordable housing transactions.
