The focus of this position is working with and through others.  We are looking for an effective communicator.  The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the firm, its management, the team, the firm’s clients and referral sources. A persuasive, teaching style of communication is required to communicate the clients needs and advance the firm’s representation of the client and Firm’s profitability in line with the Clients needs.  A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently. This portion of the work will often focus on relationships with others.

The job involves managing others, following up carefully, closely, and cheerfully is required to ensure both correct work and maintenance of the relationships. Necessary corrections must be made in a constructive, supportive manner. As time is usually a factor, the work must be done on time, as well as correctly. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others.

Job responsibilities

Real Estate Coordinator paralegal is a strong support and will handle a majority of the work throughout the transactions including drafting as needed with Attorney oversight.

Tracking the Client cases projects and files

RE closings

Communicate persuasively with other parties’ attorneys
Manage Buyer and seller closings
Managing RE coordinator (paralegal)
Verifying, Negotiating and maximizing Tax prorations
Negotiate attorney review and client positions
Strong attention to deadlines
Comfortable and collaborative, yet holds boundaries.
Able to obtain the best outcome for the client, while maintaining a smooth conflict free transaction.
Systems oriented, can work within and help organize processes and controls and increase efficiency in the closing (not add unnecessary processes, and can widdle down inefficiencies.

Attorney is responsible for tracking ALL THEIR time, Both billable and non billable time and will be tied to compensation.

Opportunity for bonuses based on firmwide profit and practice area profits.

Attorney will be responsible for billing at minimum 3.5 – 5 times attorneys compensation.  As firm profitability increases, Attorney Compensation increases.
