Professional Biography

Andrea Belard is a Supervising Attorney for the Domestic Violence team at the Legal Aid Society, the legal advocacy arm of Metropolitan Family Services. Andrea provides legal advice and representation in family law matters to clients seeking a dissolution of marriage.  Prior to joining LAS, Andrea worked at a small private practice where she focused on complex divorce and custody matters.
Andrea is an HLAI Past President (2021-2022), former President of  HLAI Charities, former Treasurer for HLAI, and former sitting member of the advisory board to DePaul’s Schiller DuCanto and Fleck Family Law Center. Andrea currently serves a two year Board of Directors position with HLAI and  is also a board member of HLAI Charities.

Education

Andrea received her juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law, where she also received a Certificate in Family Law. Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University where she majored in Business Administration.
