Jeffery Ramirez

Jeff is a Shareholder at Roetzel & Andress, LPA. He devotes his practice to estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship and corporate law. Prior to joining Roetzel, he held various positions ranging from Portfolio Administrator at a wealth management firm, to Partner at his previous law firm. As a Portfolio Administrator, Jeff worked with high net worth clients and families of closely held businesses in preparing financial reports and tax returns. Additionally, as a Portfolio Administrator, he gained invaluable experience in the areas of wealth transfer strategies, estate tax minimization techniques and partnership entities.

Jeff regularly counsels individuals and families going through the probate and trust administration process, determining the applicability of a guardianship proceeding, advocating for clients’ rights in conflict situations, counseling business owners on selecting the right entities for their businesses and preparing succession plans. Additionally, he works closely with clients and their families to successfully navigate them through the emotional and sometimes overwhelming process of handling the estate of a loved one so as to preserve family harmony while honoring a loved one’s wishes and assisting executors and trustees with their fiduciary responsibilities.

Jeff believes that during life’s transitions, professionals such as attorneys are instrumental in helping clients illuminate the best path forward in times of stress; whether it is negotiating a business transaction, preparing an accounting, making distributions to beneficiaries, counseling families through guardianship proceedings or helping them plan for contingencies by tailoring a comprehensive estate plan.
