We believe we are stronger together, finding unity in our shared values, celebrating our diverse backgrounds, and recognizing the unique contributions Hispanic and Latinx attorneys bring to Illinois’s legal community—where we work, socialize, and advocate for justice. Each year we host the following signature events:

ANNUAL JUDICIAL RECEPTION- February 6, 2025

We start the year with our Annual Judicial Reception,  an event that honors the achievements and contributions of the judiciary while fostering connections between judges, attorneys, and legal professionals within our community. This reception serves as a unique platform to celebrate the diversity within the legal profession, recognize the impact of Hispanic and Latinx judges in Illinois, and inspire the next generation of legal leaders. The event brings together distinguished members of the bench, bar, and community leaders for an evening of networking, recognition, and meaningful dialogue.

ANNUAL GOLF OUTING – June 13, 2025

As the weather warms up, we head outdoors to enjoy our Annual Golf Outing! A fun and engaging event that supports HLAI’s mission to empower Hispanic and Latinx legal professionals in Illinois. This popular outing brings together attorneys, judges, other community and bar leaders, and corporate partners for a day of golf, networking, and camaraderie, all while raising funds for scholarships, mentorship programs, and community outreach initiatives.

ANNUAL BLACK TIE GALA, INSTALLATION & AWARDS DINNER –  DATE TBD

The HLAI & HLAI Charities Annual Black Tie Gala, Installation  & Awards Dinner is a prestigious evening celebrating our community’s accomplishments, honoring outstanding Hispanic and Latinx legal professionals, and welcoming our newly elected leadership. Last year, we were proud to award more than $50,000 in scholarships to 22 deserving law students.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

Each December HLAI & HLAI Charities hosts its annual Holiday Party – a festive gathering celebrating the achievements of our legal community and the spirit of the holiday season. This event brings together attorneys, colleagues, and community leaders for an evening of networking, delicious food, music, and holiday cheer. We also use this as an opportunity to fund raise money for scholarships.
