New Attorneys First Year is Free This membership is for attorneys who have been practicing for less than one year. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing. Lawyer Members who are licensed in the State of Illinois have the right to nominate and vote; the right to serve as a Board Member, Officer, or a Standing Committee Chair, and are be eligible to serve in any office and on any Committee. Lawyer members licensed in a different jurisdiction have all the rights and privileges of HLAI, including the right to vote, but are not eligible to serve as a Board Member, Officer, or a Standing Committee Chairs.

Year 2 – 4 cost $75.00 Young lawyers practicing more than one year but less than five years qualify for this membership. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
